Haute Event: 50 Cent at Marquee
Friday night, 50 Cent celebrated the launch his Sleek by 50 Cent wireless headphones at Marquee Nightclub Las Vegas as Marquee resident DJ Roger Sanchez introduced Release Yourself Cabaret at the newly opened hot spot inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Rapper 50 Cent arrived at Marquee and immediately jumped in the deejay booth on stage in the main room to address the packed club. He was surprised on stage with a cake in the shape of headphones from Gimme Some Sugar and hyped up the crowd, the perfect transition into Roger Sanchez, whose Release Yourself Cabaret features custom visuals, performers and cutting-edge technology.
Then 50 Cent made his way to the lower level Boom Box Room with a large group that included rappers Lloyd Banks, Jeremih and Tony Yayo, along with boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Darrius Heyward-Bey of the Oakland Raiders. It didn’t take long for the rappers to find their way to the deejay booth, grabbing mics and treating the crowd to an impromptu 20-minute set of each star’s hits with a few new tracks thrown in for good measure.
Also spotted at Marquee were Marion Barber and Andre Gurode of the Dallas Cowboys as well as San Diego Chargers Patrick Crayton and Darren Sproles.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban took over a VIP table with friends and seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry was spotted at the bar.
