What Made Him Haute: Helio Castroneves’ first hit the scene as a Team Penske IndyCar Series driver. It was Castroneves’ captivating personality, his thousand-watt smile and of course his famous paso doble, in the 2007 season of ABC’s hit show Dancing with the Stars, that won him a legion of followers. In 2009, he graced the covers of Haute Living Miami summer issue. In the Long Beach Grand Pix, Helio finished seventh at the race after racing several laps with his Penske team, a great accomplishment for a professional that had not trained for about seven months.

What Makes Him Haute Now: The former Coral Gables resident is moving a little north in the Florida panhandle. Castroneves has purchased a luxurious condo in Fort Lauderdale near the Elbo Room. The “Dancing with the Stars” champ relocated to a stylish pad at the Las Olas Beach Club oceanfront, where he will reside with his girlfriend Adriana Henao and their 1-year-old daughter. Units in this particular complex go from $800,000 to $4 million. Castroneves is very pleased with his new purchase and said that he loves the amenities and how beautiful the location is. He feels as though he is in a permanent vacation.
