Oriental Inspirations: Remy Lemoine’s Curtain Tiebacks
Gold from the souk, bright velvet colors, ancient embroideries on silk from the old market, the softness of fur, feathers, and the magic of dreamy Arabian nights, these are the inspirations for Remy Lemoine’s designs. The French designer’s collection of haute couture curtain tiebacks recall the richness of the art and architecture found in the culture of the Middle East.
Dressed in hand-made fabrics and accessories by Serge Olivares, each tieback becomes a unique and one-of-a-kind design object fashioned using exceptional French craftsmanship. Each piece is created from hand-made materials found in France and Italy. He uses plain leather, Cordoba leather, iron, raffia, straw, wicker, Murano glass, plexiglass, gold and various other stones. The result is a work of art that redefines the ambiance and personality of a given space. Specific designs can be requested by the client to suit certain desires and specific needs.
