The Kardashians

Category: Entertainers

Industry: Television

Company: DASH Store

What Made Them Haute: Entrepreneurs, television personalities, models, and socialites, the Kardashians are a celebrity self-branding success story. The fifth season premiere of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians boasted record ratings for the network, averaging nearly 4.7 million total viewers. And recently, the Kardashian clan plus Bruce Jenner received the honorable key to the city from Beverly Hills Mayor Jimmy Delshad.

What Makes Them Haute: There’s just no stopping the Kardashians. In the past year, they signed up for a two reality Television shows, released a pre-paid (and expensive) debit card, and came out with a book. But don’t expect them to slow down anytime soon. Kim Kardashian and mom, Kris Jenner, have just been recruited by Skechers for their 2011 campaign: “Shaping Up With the Kardashians.” This endorsement deal will serve as the brand’s central campaign piece for the upcoming year, and it is said to launch next Spring. “They allow us to enhance our fitness level no matter where we are and what we’re doing”said Kim, when asked why she chose to endorse the shoes. “Mom and I, as well as Kourtney and Khloe, are constantly on the go and have to get a workout in whenever and wherever we can.”
