Holiday cheer is running rampant as the city of Vinings celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Vinings Tree Lighting kicking off December 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. One of Atlanta’s most anticipated and celebrated holiday events, families from all over Georgia travel from miles around to be apart of this wonderfully festive event that showcases the spirit and welcoming sentiment that the city of Vinings is known for.
This year is expected to be the best yet because there are an abundance of family-friendly activities including: train rides, pony rides, balloon twisting, seasonal face painting, prizes, music, food and drinks. In addition to all of that fun, will be an appearance by the cast of The Holiday Ice Spectacular, debuting December 16 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, on hand to sign autographs and partake in all of the holiday fun.
There will be live performances from some of Atlanta’s finest outfits, including: Teasley Elementary School Choir, the Atlanta Opera, and Lovett High School Jazz Band. Playing all of your holiday favorites and some new material to add to your holiday music arsenal, there is absolutely no better way to celebrate the holiday season than with the music that we all know and love, and these performers are some of the best in the city.
The grand finale of this wonderful celebration is the appearance of the man himself, Santa Claus! Santa will be on hand to take photos that the whole family will treasure for years to come, so come dressed in your Sunday best to ensure that you capture the perfect holiday memory. This event is free and open to the public, so cancel any prior plans and head over to Vinings Jubilee for unforgettable holiday fun!
