Zampolli’s World: Exemplar-Zero Initiative Ceremony

On Monday, Oct. 11, The Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization (IREO) headed by SG Robson Mello and the Humanitad Foundation held a private ceremony at The UN Millennium Hotel and the United Nations in New York City to announce Mongolia as the pilot nation for the new Exemplar-Zero (EZ) Initiative.

The EZ Initiative’s goal is to help put large-scale, renewable energy projects into effect in nations throughout the world. For its first undertaking, the EZ Initiative plans to help Mongolia find the best-practice emission control & elimination technologies, as well as to help it identify alternate energy solutions and other ways to reduce pollution. Mongolia was chosen as the flagship nation for the EZ Initiative because of President Elbegdorj’s commitment to his country’s resources and to utilizing them to benefit his people.

The event was hosted by David Martin and actor Armand Assante and welcomed guests of honor that included Puntsag Tsagaan, the senior advisor to the President of Mongolia, Dorj Nergui, the CEO of Mongolia Innovation Commons Partners, the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN, H.E. Ambassador Enkhtsetseg Ochir, Sascha Stone, H.E. Ambassador of Dominican Republic, Francis Lorenzo, IREO SG Robson Mello, United Nations Associations Brazil Ambassador at Large Paolo Zampolli and his wife, Amanda Ungaro Zampolli, B. Byambasaikhan, CEO Newcom Corp., and H.E. Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UN, Dr. Palitha T. B. Kohona.
