Throughout the month of October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you can get your own rosy strands via super-cute extensions at Mood Swings Salon in Tempe to show your support for those affected by breast cancer and switch up your look in a fun and fast way.
Choose a hot pink or light pink single-strand extension that can easily be added to your hair by one of the savvy professionals at Mood Swings, an Aveda Lifestyle Salon. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will receive the entire $10 cost for the service, and you’ll get some sweet pizazz added to your ‘do.
The salon has come up with other ways for men and women alike to join the cause. Tempe-based Brand X Custom T-shirts and Mood Swings have created pink shirts printed with the phrase “Not too proud to wear pink,” and they can be purchased a the salon or at Brand X for $15 each. Just like with the extensions, you can rest assured that 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the foundation.
And while you’re making your appointment at Mood Swings, you might as well put your name down for a luxe Aveda limited-edition Breast Cancer Awareness Hand Relief, Pure Pro for some R&R for your mitts. Four dollars of the $21 service charge will go to the foundation. Before or after your treatment, peruse the “pink ribbon” items in the salon, including all Aveda Men’s Pure Pro products and all liter-size Aveda shampoos and conditioners. A dollar from the sale of every one of these pink ribbon items will also be donated, along with one dollar from the purchase of every Aveda Top 10 product.
