Venexiana designer Kati Stern debuted her Spring/Summer 2011 collection at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The show opened to a packed house and featured 50 eveningwear looks offering gradients of spring colors inspired by Mediterranean sunsets and the gardens of Italy’s Alto Adige region, some of Stern’s most-loved destinations. Born in Europe, Stern is also a professional architect, a classically trained pianist and a passionate flamenco dancer. Stern’s love of 1920s-era Lanvin is also evident throughout the collection.
Launched in 2003, Venexiana is known for its luxurious fabrics, precise tailoring and dazzling embellishments and is the go-to house for rock-n-roll haute couture. Venexiana is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and other fine retailers.
