Haute Concert: The 32nd Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Show

The 32nd Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awardsshow will be held tonight at its new venue, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Presented by the Friends of Georgia Music Festival, Inc, the non-profit organization which has been recognizing Georgia’s accomplished artists and musicians for over three decades, the evening will be ushered in by returning emcee WSB’s Monica Pearson and dave FM’s Mara Davis.

This musical evening will honor inductees including The Black Crowes, India Arie, Charlie Brusco, Jennifer Larmore and Charles Wadsworth. The late Paul Davis, Pete Drake, John Jarrard and Rev. Pearly Brown will be honored posthumously.

The night will include live performances by The Black Crowes, India.Arie, the legendary rock band Styx and this year’s Horizon award recipient Spanish/English singer Tyna Q.  We are excited to see Tyna Q, in action because the Horizon Award is awarded to the singer or group, who has significant Georgia ties and who is expected to make a significant contribution to the world of music.

You can’t beat seeing the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards in person, but if you can’t make it, you can at least catch the action live on Georgia Public Broadcasting this evening. Pre Show ceremonies will be begin at 8 p.m. and the live broadcast will start at 8:30 p.m.
