What Makes Him Haute Now: Designer Marc Jacobs is set to become the first major fashion house to create a plus-size clothing line. Catering to women size 16 and up, the line was unofficially announced by Marc Jacobs Label president Robert Duffy via Twitter earlier this month. “We are in talks now. For plus sizes,” Duffy tweeted. “…We are in the very beginning stages of talking to a partner about plus sizes.” Duffy adds. The fashion industry has had no choice but to stand up and take notice of the full-figured woman. With the help of size 14 supermodels like Crystal Renn, the launch of the line speaks to the demand for high-end fashions for curvy fashionistas.
