Bon Appetit: Midtown Restaurant Week Kicks Off in Atlanta

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate cooler weather than by dining at one of Atlanta’s finest restaurants in Midtown Atlanta this week. Why this week, you ask? It is the here:  the annual Midtown Restaurant week. Our favorite spots, including Park 75, Steel Atlanta and Dogwood are offering a three-course prix fixe dinner menu. Kicking of this weekend, these delightful offers from participating restaurants will be available until Sept. 12.

This year you can choose from over 30 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants for Midtown Restaurant Week in Atlanta. You can even view the individual menus if you are having trouble deciding where to dine.   Personally, I cannot pass up the menu at Pacci, the elegant restaurant at the Palomar Hotel. First select a fresh starter, such as the Tomato Gazpacho or Mussels and Clams, then a main entrée, such as the Halibut or Pork Belly and finish off with a savory dessert, such as the Chocolate Bread Pudding or the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. That sounds like a culinary heaven.

When dining be sure to ask your server about the Bacardi torched cherry blossom, the official cocktail of the fifth annual event. And for those who prefer the power lunch, some of the acclaimed dining establishments (Steel, Livingston, Eleven and more) will be offering a special three-course lunch menu as well. For a list of participating restaurants and to view the unique menus, visit the event’s website.

This year’s restaurant week has been the talk of the city, so reservations are highly recommended.

Bon Appetit, Atlanta.
