When Talking Stick Resort celebrated its soft opening back in April, we we already licking our lips in anticipation of all the culinary establishments and their creations slated to open right along with it. Now with the resort’s official grand opening in July under its belt, we feel compelled to urge you once again to make a reservation at one of the six fantastic dining establishments.
At Talking Stick Resort, the culinary options are seemingly endless; there’s seafood, American, Creole, Italian, Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine to choose from, all under one roof. Of course, your first choice should be an evening at Orange Sky Restaurant, located on the 15th floor and offering incredible ambiance and panoramic views of the scenic McDowell Mountains. Try the aged beef or any of the seafood dishes, paired with a bottle of fine regional or reserve wine. The spot makes for a particularly romantic dinner date; time your reservation with the spectacular Arizona sunset for an evening to remember.
After you’ve acquainted yourself with Orange Sky, next on your list should be Ocean Trail – a Creole cuisine-serving restaurant for the adventurous. The steamers, raw oysters and spicy gumbo are musts, of course. And while the establishment may offer plenty of traditional, Cajun-style “finger food,” everything about the venue says classy sophistication, particularly the brilliant, blue-lit bar offering limited seating.
Additional favorites of ours include the Coffee Garden (gourmet roasted coffees, decadent desserts, specialty teas, Italian sodas, European chocolates and pastries, oh my!) as well as Black Fig Bistro, a cozy upscale shop open 24 hours a day and serving gourmet hand-crafted sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh salads, artisan pizzas and more – a great spot to grab something light before or after hitting the resort’s golf course, pool and cabanas, Talking Stick Salon, 24-hour fitness center or retail outlets.
This is just a sampling of all the establishments and culinary options Talking Stick can offer. But one thing’s for sure – this resort and casino certainly has something for everybody.
