Star Power: The Haute 5 Celebrity Hangouts in Atlanta

Tommy Lee, Keisha Knight Pulliam and Ludacris at Straits

We may not be red-carpet ready, but Atlanta sure doesn’t lack when it comes to the hip-hop scene. Here are just a few places to go in Atlanta  for some great celeb spotting.

Chops

Fergie and Josh Duhamel dining at Chops

Chops is a  big hangout for celebs that live in Atlanta as well as for those who are just visiting . It is not only the amazing steak that draws them in to this Buckhead restaurant but the impeccable (and discreet, if desired) service. While we may hear that they dined at Chops (Fergie and Josh Duhamel, fore example), it won’t be until the following day. No paparazzi here. And now, with the St. Regis Hotel literally next door, this is becoming more and more of a known spot for celebs to power lunch or have dinner.

Chops is located at 70 W. Paces Ferry Road. 404.262.3336

 Straits

Jane Fonda and Ludacris at Straits

Atlanta’s own Chris “Ludacris” Bridges owns this chic Midtown restaurant and thus dines here often. The menu at Straits offers a mix of Singaporean cuisine and has a great patio and bar.  On any night, you may spot Ludacris dining with a posse of friends from out of town or just enjoying a quiet dinner with an intimate group. And with Ludacris’ star power and southern hospitality, he has no problem getting his fellow artists in for a bite. If you are really looking to hang out with the hip hop crowd, we recommend you head to Straits on Tuesday evenings: their biggest night.

Straits is located at 793 Juniper St. 404.877.1283

Lenox Square

One of our two luxury malls Lenox Square takes the prize for celebrity hangouts. In fact,  Lenox Square is a second home to many of our music artists.  On the weekends, you can expect to see at least one group of celebrities shopping at spots like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Cartier and David Yurman. If you are a groupie on the prowl, it is usually best to check out the cars in the valet. If you see the Ferrari and Rolls Royce with rims parked in the front, chances are you will spot the likes of Akon, Usher or Big Boi from Outkast. Usually, they hang out on the luxury wing where Neiman Marcus, Cartier and David Yurman are located.

Lenox Square is located at 3393 Peachtree Rd. 404.261.3980

Park 75 Lounge at Four Seasons

Located inside the Four Seasons hotel, Park 75 is where the Atlanta heavies and out of town stars talk business as well as kick back for some good times over cocktails.  The staff is very professional, thus very discreet, so celebs don’t have to worry about having their cover blown while hanging out at this ultra-sophisticated Midtown lounge. Not to mention, many celebs passing through town stay in one of the luxurious rooms at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, so it is a very convenient meeting spot.

Park 75 Lounge is located in Four Season Hotel Atlanta,  75 14th St. 404.881.9898

The Buckhead Diner

This upscale Buckhead Diner is an institution in Atlanta and a great place for celebrity sightings in Atlanta. High energy and funky decor gives this place a fun and lively vibe. Favorites on the menu include the calamari and their homemade potato chips covered in warm blue cheese. But aside from the food, this is almost a guaranteed place for celeb spotting. Over the years, celebs including Mick Jagger, Steve Martin and Cal Ripkin have all been spotted dining here.

The Buckhead Diner is located at 3073 Piedmont Rd 404.233.5993
