Ted Baker London Opens Today at Fashion Square

Whether you’ve been meaning to update your wardrobe or just love to shop, have we got some good news for you. All you have to do is stop by the brand-new Ted Baker London store at Fashion Square between today and July 30 and you’ll be eligible to enter a drawing for a $1,000 shopping spree. (No purchase necessary.) But even if you don’t win the prize, everyone is still a winner, as Ted Baker will be donating 5 percent of its sales from opening week (July 1-7) to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. We just love it when fashion and philanthropy combine forces, don’t you?

This is the label’s first store in the state of Arizona and one of only 12 now in the entire country. A beautiful blend of both Phoenix and London, the space features a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired stone wall behind the cashier counter, dark glass chandeliers crafted and sand-blasted by a designer in London, and cactus motifs throughout. Don’t miss the wallpaper depicting the English countryside that’s been faded somewhat, as if it were lying out too long in the Arizona sun.

This is your chance to discover Ted Baker’s fragrances, accessories, and sophisticated yet playful menswear and womenswear, as the store carries a wide range of the brand’s apparel and other wares, everything from casual comfort pieces to more formal garments for a night on the town. For the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Ted Baker drew inspiration from the English countryside, gardens, and interestingly enough, the heritage of British ornithology. In those veins, this season features well-placed pops of color, vivid prints, and that wonderfully tongue-in-cheek sense of humor for which the brand is known. It will bring a smile to your face to find thoughtful embellishments at every turn, such as little messages and bold patterns on the insides of collars and cuffs.

You’ll notice, too, the quality of the clothing for the price point. Consider the spot-on stitching, the tailored fit of the ladies’ dresses and men’s shirts, and the perfect placement of folds and pleats. It’s no wonder such A-listers as Morgan Freeman and Ryan Seacrest are already fans of the brand, and now you can get a piece for yourself at Ted Baker London inside Fashion Square.
