Prince Harry of Wales Helps Make the Third Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic a Success

Celebrities and socialites gathered together on Governors Island last weekend for the third annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Prince Harry of Wales, also co-founder of the charity American Friends of Sentebale, was welcomed with open arms, and proceeds from the event were given to the charity, which helps at-risk children in Africa.

The polo match was a face-off between the Black Rock team, which was led by Nic Roldan of Piaget, and the Black Watch team, which was led by the face of Polo Ralph Lauren Fragrances and Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras. The Black Watch team won with a 6-5 victory in overtime, and was later presented with the new Piaget Polo FortyFive timepiece.

Among the A-list attendees were New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Ivanka Trump, Susan Sarandon, Mary J. Blige, Rachel Roy, Andre Balazs, Chef Todd English, Russell Simmons and Becca Cason Thrash, just to name a few.
