New Resort: Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Plans Dec. 15 Opening

It may be a few years before Las Vegas sees the opening of a new casino, so mark your calendars for Dec. 15 when the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas opens its doors. Once completed, the Cosmopolitan will feature two 50-story towers with residential rooms and private terraces. The spaces are designed by a team of interior architects including David Rockwell, Jeffrey Beers, Adam D. Tihany and the Friedmutter Group.

Cosmopolitan has an outstanding lineup of restaurants slated to go in from celebrity chefs new to Las Vegas. Chef Jose Andres plans Jaleo and China Poblano restaurants, Bruce and Eric Bromberg are opening Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, Comme Ca comes from Los Angeles chef David Myers; New York City’s Costas Spiliadis is opening Estiatorio Milos, Scarpetta and D.O.C.G. are being put together by award-winning chef Scott Conant; and popular steakhouse STK from comes from The One Group.

The resort will feature 100,000 square feet of casino space, 60,000 square feet of shopping, a 43,000-square-foot spa, health club and salon, three pool experiences and multi-level integrated nightclubs.
