What a weekend for LeBron James, the new star of the Miami Heat. He started his weekend at Tao Beach at the Venetian, where he partied with Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets and a group of 12 friends. In the next cabana, NBA star Shawn Marion helped Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child celebrate her 30th birthday by pulling fortunes from Tao’s giant fortune cookie and toasting with Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
Twilight Wolfpack’s Tinsel Korey, Julia Jones and Alex Meraz hosted the afternoon and sipped on Grey Goose cocktails.
James wasn’t done though. He kept the party going at Lavo in the Palazzo. King James was joined by Paul, San Diego Charger Shaun Phillips, Atlanta Hawk Josh Smith, Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtic Rajon Rondo and Larry Hughes of the Charlotte Bobcats. He sat down to dinner at the Italian eatery after walking the red carpet and dined on calamari, chicken parmagiano, the Kobe meatball and Crown and ginger cocktails and lemon drop shots. After dinner James and friends took over VIP tables on the dance floor in the nightclub where they danced and partied fueled by Perrier Jouet Rose Champagne, Patron Tequila and vodka. James received a cake from Gimme Some Sugar that replicated his new Miami Heat No. 6 jersey. Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade and Denver Nugget Chauncy Billups joined the party. DJs Reflex and special guest Mick Boogie spun the tunes.
Over at Tao at the Venetian, Marion and Williams hosted a celebrity poker tournament kick-off party. The Dallas Maverick forward and former UNLV standout also helped Williams continue her 30th birthday celebration.
Other celebs spotted at Tao were Wade of the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Buck Drew Gooden, Jason Maxiell of the Detroit Pistons and his wife Brandy, actor Mekhi Phifer, Omarosa from The Apprentice and model Claudia Jordan from The Celebrity Apprentice. Jill Marie Jones from the TV series Girlfriends, singer LaToya Luckett and True Blood’s Natasha Alam also walked the red carpet before hitting the club. Bob Guiney from The Bachelor was joined by poker stars and Amazing Race contestants Tiffany Michelle and Maria Ho and Joe Reitman was spotted enjoying the party.
Also spotted at Tao were Meraz, Korey and Jones from the Twilight Wolf Pack dancing to the beats of DJ Crooked.
