Haute Event: Battle of the Brushes at Blush
What do make-up and a football running back have in common? Absolutely nothing, but both subjects were the highlights of Tuesday night’s festivities at Blush Boutique Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas.
Steven Jackson, running back of the St. Louis Rams, celebrated his 27th birthday at the venue, which also hosted the fifth annual Battle of the Brushes competition.
Jackson showed up with an entourage of 18, and was presented with a Rams-inspired birthday cake when he arrived. His party guests indulged in Don Julio 1942 Tequila all night.
Also at Blush, Manchester United Soccer star Wayne Rooney who ordered a Magnum of Grey Goose and a bottle of Dom Perignon.
The annual Battle of the Brushes, an extreme make-up competition, was also hosted by Blush on the same night. Participating in the competition were six make-up artists from local salons. This year’s theme was “On the Loose in Vegas,” and required the artists to portray looks inspired by exotic animals running wild through Vegas. Maile Bello from Aria Health and Beauty won the competition for her peacock creation.
Rain Cosmetics, the only Las Vegas-based make-up company, sponsored the event.
