Haute Couture: The Haute 5 Fashion Boutiques in Las Vegas

Up and down Las Vegas Boulevard you can find the great fashion houses of the world — Christian Dior, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Emilio Pucci, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg and more. Need more variety and you can shop at the likes of Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York or Saks Fifth Avenue to broaden your labels. But the best shopping comes at the hands of smaller boutiques with finely edited lines of clothing. They carry a variety of lines fine-tuned to the tastes of their discerning clients. Here’s a look at the Haute 5 fashion boutiques of Las Vegas. Pull out your Black AmEx and do some shopping.

Outfit
Vogue editor Anna Wintour is said to have called this the best boutique in America. Outfit at Wynn Las Vegas is curated by Todd Hanshaw, who worked at Marc Jacobs and Barneys and styled celebrities as diverse as Nicole Kidman, Patti LaBelle and Rene Russo before moving to the desert to put together this exquisite boutique that feels like the closet you wish you had. Inside, you can find a runway down the center with the great fashion houses of the world parading their wares on mannequins: Azzedine, Alaia, Lanvin, Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez, Maison Martin Mariela Matthew Williamson, Yigal Azroel and Givenchy, just to name a few. The windows display the best the boutique has to offer dressed on delicate eggshell mannequins. Helpful staff can point you to the look that’s right for you.

Outfit is located on the Esplanade at Wynn Las Vegas, 702.770.3465.

Annie Creamcheese
Back in the 1970s, Vegas was home to Suzy Creamcheese, the boutique frequented by Cher, Charro and Stevie Nicks. When Annie Lee and her business partner Garrett Bauman decided to open a Georgetown vintage shop, she turned to a name from the heyday for inspiration. Fast forward to 2008 when Annie Creamcheese set up shop at the Shoppes at the Palazzo, its first outpost outside of Washington, D.C. This boutique caters to high-end designer pieces from Chanel, Missoni, Pucci, Halston, Galanos, Suzy Perette, Ceil Chapman, Gucci, Claude Montana, Rudi Gernreich, Nina Ricci, Givenchy, Ungaro and many more. Just stepping through the mirror-coated doors whisks you back in time. The dressing room alone is worth the trip. You can also find emerging designers such as Manoush, Eva Franco, Stella & Jaime, McGinn, Jenny Han and Alchemy. Be sure to check out the vintage jewelry and handbags. To unload your wares, call ahead to make an appointment.

Annie Creamcheese is located at the Shoppes at the Palazzo, 702.452.9600.

Ensemble

We have to slip back over the Encore Las Vegas for this younger, hipper version of Outfit. Like its more refined sister next door, Ensemble carries a well-edited collection inspired by rock-and-roll looks hand-picked by Hanshaw. Look for hip designers such as Robert Rodriguez, Philipp Plein, Elizabeth and James, Helmut Lang and Vivienne Westwood, as well as denim from Citizens of Humanity, J Brand and Royal Underground. Men can get their fix as well.

Ensemble is located at Encore Las Vegas, 702.770.5470.

Capri
It’s surprising what you can find when you leave the Giorgio Armanis and Bottega Venetas of Via Bellagio and venture over to the Pool Promenade at this resort. At Capri, you can find designer sportswear collections from Diane von Furstenberg, Galliano, Just Cavalli, Michael Kors, M Missoni, Trina Turk and Catherine Malandrino. A collection of handbags like Kooba and Isabella Fiore and jewelry and sunglasses round out this surprising store.

Capri is located at the Bellagio, 702.693.7925.

Terrene
Tucked on the second level of the new Aria resort at CityCenter sits a divine store filled with some hard-to-find lines you’ll have a difficult time discovering at even the large department stores of Las Vegas, namely Anna Sui and Issey Miyake. Look for Red Valentino, Galliano and Dolce & Gabbana, alongside newer lines such as Alex + Olivia and Black Halo. Sunglasses, handbags, intimate apparel and other finds such as homegrown swimwear from Syrup and the ultra-sexy Beach Bunny are intertwined with bags made from plastic bottles that look like leather and other green finds.

Terrene is located at Aria at CityCenter, 702.590.8730.
