Haute Couture: The Haute 5 Fashion Boutiques in Atlanta

There have been a lot of fashion boutiques in Atlanta over the years. Some of have been a success and others, well, were not. But, there are definitely a select few that stand out, especially to those with an appreciation for fashion and shopping. Forget the malls and head to these Haute 5 Atlanta fashion boutiques.

Evolve Boutique

Style and sustainability co-exist in this Emory boutique. You can always count on finding your favorite established designers, like Velvet  and Splendid, along with a mix of independent designers  including Knitted Dove, Glam Vintage Soul and Eco Lux (for the bohemian chic look). Evolve also carries an eclectic array of local, earth-friendly, organic and re-purposed  accessories along with a great selection of jewelry (like our favorite Altanta-based line Mickey Lynn jewelry). The inventory is always changing so every week you will find something new.

Evolve is located 1581 N. Decatur Rd., 404.474.3244

Tootsies

For many years, Tootsies has thrived on the boutique scene. With its spacious location in the Shops Around Lenox, they carry an extraordinary selection of designers and styles ranging from casual luxe to black tie-cocktail.  You can get the whole outfit here: from denim and tees to dresses, purses and shoes. To add to the shopping experience, you are always guaranteed to have one of their stylists help you out and treat you like a queen. Some favorite designers at Tootsies include Lela Rose, Etro, Nanette Lepore and Trina Turk.

Tootsies is located at 3400 Around Lenox Dr. 404.842.9990

Sandpiper

This charming Vinings boutique is filled with a trendy mix of clothing and accessories for the younger crowd. You will always be greeted with a smile here, and if you want help finding the perfect pair of True Religion, they are more than willing. Aside from the great staples from the likes of Trina Turk, Shoshana and Milly, Sandpiper carries a great selection of accessories and jewelry. Our new favorite is the colorful selection of rings by Tre. These glass baubles come in just about all colors and they will definitely make a fashion statement (both on your finger and even on display at the store).

Sandpiper is located at 4300 Paces Ferry Rd. S.E., 770.433.2980.

Kelly’s Closet

This boutique is the perfect example of the age old adage, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Located in the funky Candler Park neighborhood, Kelly’s Closet is a wedding dress boutique on one side and a charming little fashion boutique on the other. There is nothing like this boutique and the owner, Kelly, makes sure of that. As she describes, her style is feminine, creative and always changing. But one thing is for sure: she has great taste.  A few of my favorites are the pieces from Zachary’s Smile, elegant dresses from Collette Dinnigan and the funky and fun designs from Camilla and Marc.

Kelly’s Closet is located at 1649 McLendon Ave., 404.377.9923.

Deka

Although this may not be your typical Atlanta fashion boutique, Deka athletics is definitely one that should be mentioned. Catering to an athletic-ish crowd, the Buckhead boutique (which will soon be moving to a bigger space in the Shops Around Lenox) makes working out tres chic. It carries hard to find lines such as  Adidas by Stella McCartney, Puma by Stella McCartney and Y3. Whether you are going to the gym, running errands around town or jet setting off somewhere fabulous, Deka has the perfect outfit for you. Right now Deka is having a huge moving sale at their Pharr Road location, but the new spot (set to open next month) will be even bigger and better. We can’t wait. .
