What Makes Him Haute: Billionaire Wilbur Ross launched the W.L. Ross & Co. investment fund with $440 million in capital and a small staff that he recruited from Rothschild. His current net worth is estimated at $1.7 billion.

What makes him Haute now: The rich are about to get richer! The health care reform bill passed and Ross knows there is money waiting to be had and he is on his way to make it. While Ross is no expert in the medical field, he is teaming up the man who oversaw the skyrocket boom of CVS. The joint venture between Ross and Edwin Crawford, former Chairman of CVS, will be called Crawford-Ross and will be based on service providers rather than Crawford’s forte, pharmaceuticals.
