What Made Them Haute: This seductive singer is one of the most famous crossover artists with Spanish and English songs topping the charts. With two Grammy Awards, seven Latin Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Latin Music Awards and a Golden Globe nomination, it’s no surprise she has sold more than 50 million records globally. According to Forbes Magazine, Shakira was the fourth highest-earning woman in music for 2008 behind Madonna, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion.

What Makes Them Haute Now: You have to be really haute to be invited to sing the official FIFA World Cup 2010 anthem. The singer performed “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” in Soweto’s Orlando Stadium in front of 40,000 people (not to mention two billion people watching on TV), including Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela. This global singer has multiple projects, like the special edition SEAT packed with ‘good stuff’, her debut in Bollywood, and her charity work with Colombia’s President Elect Juan Manuel Santos. Looking great doesn’t come easy to this self-described chocolate-addict, “I needed a month to get in shape. I danced… and had to follow a strict diet — only fish, spinach and dessert specially prepared with tofu.”
