Simply the Best: Bradley Ogden Named Best American Restaurant
Can the 200 members of the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association be wrong? They voted Bradley Ogden at Caesars Palace the Best American Restaurant in Las Vegas.
The restaurant has been a pioneer in the farm fresh and organic food movement since Ogden opened in 2003. The James Beard Foundation named it the Best New Restaurant of the Year in 2004. Zagat bestowed its Best New Restaurant honor on the restaurant in 2003. GQ loved its burgers so much that the magazine dubbed it the Best Burger in the U.S. in 2009 and the restaurant received the Forbes Four Star in 2010.
The chef himself was named Best California Chef by the James Beard Foundation, one of the Great American Chefs by the International Wine and Food Society, winner of the Golden Plate Award by the American Academy of Achievement and Chef of the Year by the Culinary Institute of America.
In short, you should eat here.
For summer, Bradley Ogden is offering a three-course prix-fix menu featuring dishes such as his signature twice baked blue cheese soufflé, a moist and tender Petaluma free-range chicken and peanut butter and jelly bread pudding. Choose among the courses from a select menu at $59 per person.
Just be warned that you can’t figure out what will be on the menu in advance due to the restaurant’s dedication to fresh, seasonal ingredients. But if you’re stumped, always order the hamburger, truly the best in the city. It comes on a brioche bun with just a bit of lettuce. You can add bleu cheese and crisp French fries to round out your meal.
