Audemars Piguet Celebrates Time To Give Event

Velvet ropes and lit candles bordered the far-reaching red carpet as it extended far onto the sidewalk, while leading an exclusive list of guests into the marble laden entrance of the Audemars Piguet flagship boutique in New York in honor of its opening. The world renowned watchmaker also celebrated its “Time To Give” campaign, a charitable auction held at the Four Seasons Hotel in which attendees bid on luxurious timepieces autographed by various celebrities including Jay-Z, Meryl Streep, Hugh Jackman, Whoopi Goldberg, and Kelsey Grammer.

The exciting and elegant evening benefited Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a partnership between the host of the event, Audemars Piguet and the Tony Awards. During the auction several watches attracted impressive bids in excess of $100,000 yet attendees took time out during the hand raising and number calling to share laughs, especially Audemars Piguet President Francois-Henry Bennahmias, as he playfully knelt in front of Jay-Z during the auction.

Following the high profile event, partygoers traveled over to the boutique where DJ Kiss took her post at the turntable as she kept the dance floor crowded with feet moving and heads bopping, while others chose to relax by the fully stocked bar, enjoying delicious cocktails and showing off the eye catching timepieces strapped on their wrists. The stylish soiree was a massive success as guests enjoyed a truly chic and charitable night.
