2nd Annual New York Bag Ladies Luncheon

The S.L.E. Lupus Foundation celebrated their 2nd annual “New York Bag Ladies Luncheon,” hosted by The Real Housewives of New York star, Jill Zarin and featuring a performance by Tony award winner, Joanna Gleason, who garnered thunderous applause from the audience after an exclusive performance of “I Hate My Purse!” from the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore. Over 250 fashion forward women arrived in support of the charitable event as well as to bid on an assortment of luxury handbags during the silent auction. Some of the items included brands like Chanel, Hermes, Valentino, Judith Leiber, and Prada, as well as pieces owned by Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Keri Hilson, Diane Lane, and other celebrities.

Iconic writer, commentator, and benefit chairperson, Kate Kelly, delivered a moving speech in which she described her own daughter’s difficult battle with lupus and how the Foundation has helped so many in New York and the nation fight a similar battle. Guests enjoyed a chic and charitable afternoon filled with must have accessories and heart-warming stories.
