Meet Theo: The Mondrian Scottsdale Gets a New Name

Hotel Theodore’s new operators, GF Management (which also operates San Diego’s US Grant hotel), say the hotel will still appeal to the young and trendy demographic that made the Mondrian into a nightlife hotspot, but they want to restyle the accommodations and all-around branding to draw more business travelers and corporate events. And it’s not like Theodore doesn’t have the space for it. With more than 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting areas, the possibilities are nearly endless. Think weddings and receptions, corporate dinners, private parties, cocktail hours, and more in the comfort of the Theodore’s pool area, two hospitality suites, executive conference center, nightclub or four terraces.

Also being updated are the hotel’s two lounges, which have already been renamed Teddy’s and T’s. Located just off the lobby, Teddy’s has so far retained its famous scarlet-colored interior, with plush, dark red fabrics and rose-tinted lighting, and its small patio makes it an excellent choice for a cozy, intimate dinner or other private gathering. Enjoy the serene setting of the pool during one of your events, or just while relaxing after a particularly lively night of socializing. And for anyone who loved Cielo, the hotel’s gourmet Italian restaurant, fear not – it’s not going anywhere in the immediate future and still serves all the local foodies’ same favorites.

Hotel Theodore is located at 7353 E. Indian School Rd. in Old Town Scottsdale (480) 308-1100
