Lunch Break: Consider Modern Steak for a Glamorous Daytime Setting

To start, Modern Steak’s updated lunch menu includes a new appetizer, the Maine Lobster Tacos with yuzu lime aioli and Fresno chile suonomo, as well as three additional libations to whet the palate: the “Old” Tom Collins, the Old Fashioned, and the tantalizing Nic of Thyme, made with Cruzan Rum, thyme stock, lime juice, peach schnapps, and tangerine juice. Then choose from any of Modern Steak’s fresh salads, including the new Shrimp Louie with hearts of palm, avocado, tomato, and classic Louie dressing, as well as the updated Ahi salad, featuring an Asian twist with crisp wonton and a miso ginger vinaigrette. And by the way, the Warm Maine Lobster Salad is to die for, with fingerling potatoes, corn, and mushrooms drizzled with mouthwatering white truffle oil.

For something you can really sink your teeth into at lunch, check out the new shrimp entree, a pasta dish with vegetable ragout and basil pesto, or one of the restaurant’s savory sandwiches. Fans of Modern Steak’s famed Kobe Burger and Kobe Beef Hot Dog, don’t worry, those haven’t gone anywhere. But if you liked the cheeseburger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms the last time you visited, you’ll likely love its replacement, the Twin Sliders, featuring twice the taste and served on a house-made bun with American cheese and savory caramelized onions. Fries, coleslaw, or simple greens come on the side, of course, and the restaurant also offers a few gourmet pizzas and yes, steaks, on their lunch menu. The choice is yours, but we have one rule: You must try Modern Steak’s Peanut Butter Cup for dessert before leaving. Everyone should know what smooth Valrhona chocolate ganache and peanut butter tastes like. You’ll thank us later.
