Iconic director, Harold Prince was honored by the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center in NYC with the coveted 2010 Monte Cristo Award on April 5. The award recognizes distinguished careers, such as that of Mr. Prince, whose works embody the essence of excellence.
Iconic director, Harold Prince was honored by the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center in NYC with the coveted 2010 Monte Cristo Award on April 5. The award recognizes distinguished careers, such as that of Mr. Prince, whose works embody the essence of excellence.
The Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, and Evita are among several classic Broadway musicals he has directed. He has also garnered 21 Tony Awards, a feat no other individual has accomplished and eight of those awards were for best director. There to celebrate this grandiose moment were industry superstars such as Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Angela Lansbury, among others.
