Rob Schneider’s San Marino Home for Sale

Remember those pesky, yet unbelievably funny movies starring Rob Schneider (ie. “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” in 1999 and “The Hot Chick”in 2002)? Well, now you can own this funny guy’s home, a French Normandy-style mansion listed in San Marino for $3.6 million.

Built in 1926 by architect Everett P. Babcock as his personal residence, the two-story house retains much of its original individuality. The entrance opens to a foyer and a tower staircase with Batchelder tile risers. Features include arched doorways, a butler’s pantry, a formal dining room, dormer windows and fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms in the 4,690 square feet of living space. There’s also an elaborate landscape surrounding the oval-shaped saltwater swimming pool on the nearly half-acre site. Across the lawn off the back veranda is a koi pond. The property previously sold in 2003 for $1,922,000, according to public records.

Schneider, 46, will be in Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups” (coming in 2010), with Chris Rock and Kevin James. Emmanuel Xuereb of 360 Realty, Beverly Hills, has the listing.
