Luxury Hotels Heating up the Strip

Earlier today we brought you news that the Hard Rock Hotel’s newest venture, the HRH Tower Suites, is scheduled to open on December 28 in the heart of Sin City. If everything goes according to plan, the Hard Rock won’t be the only new kid on the block. On December 4, the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas will proudly swing open its grand luxury doors.

With claims that it will be the only freestanding, non-gaming luxury property on the Las Vegas Strip, the haute hotel is delivering on the solid reputation that comes with its name. Rates for the 392 rooms and suites start at $545, and to celebrate its grand opening in style, the powers that be are offering a complimentary night’s stay with one or more paid nights from December 5, 2009 through February 28, 2010.

While luxury abounds all over the property, we know our readers and suspect that nothing short of one of the three luxe presidential suites will be acceptable accommodations. Measuring 3,200 square feet, the stateside city of lights is on proud display from the panoramic window views. The spa, 23rd floor Sky Lobby, and French fusion cuisine from chef Pierre Gagnaire are some of the other standout property features.
