Gary Nader’s “Matta: A Retrospective” and “XX Century Masters” A Success!

The opening last night of Gary Nader “Matta: A Retrospective” and “XX Century Masters” exhibits was a great success. For this unique occasion the gallery had the honor of receiving as a special guest, Matta’s Widow Madame Germana Matta.

Over 600 guests including prestigious collectors, art critics, artistic personalities, curators and art lovers in general attended Gary Nader fine art opening to experience an impressive museum quality exhibit showcasing 45 outstanding paintings by Master Matta focusing in a chronological order the artist formative years particularly the 30’s and 40’s along with pieces from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s 80’s and 90’s.

Alternatively, “XX Century Masters” features important paintings, drawings and sculptures from Latin American, Modern and Contemporary Masters such as  Atchugarry, Botero,  Carreño, Chagall, Chamberlain, Chia, Francis, Figari, Fontana, Goldfarb, Hirst, Indiana, Kahlo, Kippenberger, Lam, Larraz, Lichtenstein, Manet, Matta, Matisse, Miro, Modigliani, Monet, Muñoz-Vera, Nara, Oehlen, Pettoruti, Picasso, Rauschenberg,  Rivera, Ruff, Stella, Tamayo, Toledo, Torres-Garcia, Warhol, among others.

“XX Century Masters” highlights the diverse approaches by Modern and Contemporary artists to the contingencies of the new times and the way they proceed to denote through a wide spectrum of styles, the philosophy of the art produced during a particular era.
