DavidBartonGym’s 8th Annual Toy Drive

DavidBartonGym held their 8th Annual Toy Drive last night at the newly opened Astor Place fitness mecca. Founder of DavidBartonGym, David Barton and his wife, nightlife impresario Susanne Bartsch, iconic fashion designers Marc Jacobs and Narcisco Rodriguez, Hotelier Ian Schrager and his wife Tania Schrager, celebrity chef Art Smith and renowned photographer Patrick McMullan all co-hosted the 8th annual and largest Toy Drive to date. Guests brought new, unwrapped toys, all of which will be donated today to the Metropolitan Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, Sunny Downstate, Kings County Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital, the Lower East Side Girls Club, Northeast Community Center and Astor Kids, among others.

Over the past eight years, DavidBartonGym has been committed to making a difference in the lives of children in need. The economic crisis has hit children’s charities and hospitals hard this year. Previous annual drive events have been hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Weisz, Rufus Wainwright, Patricia Field and Debbie Harry. Barton’s future goal is to expand its Toy Drive to serve DavidBartonGym communities around the entire country.
