Three Rich Men Hope Economy Gets Better

News | November 17, 2009

Three of the world’s most powerful businessmen came together last night at The Wall Street Journal CEO Council. The reason? To talk about what they know best-the economy.  News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch, Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim and Ratan Tata, the chairman of India’s largest company, spoke about the state of the economy and its chances of recovery.

Murdoch, who spoke ill of President Obama for wasting time on health care, said he sees a “slight revival.” Slim said it’s all still in shambles because of job losses and rising food and oil prices. Tata sees problems but said he has “enormous faith” in the U.S. economy.

Apparently these men are completely unaware of the power they have over our economy and it doesn’t just take “faith.” No, it’s not that difficult. All they’d have to do is empty their wallets a bit and spread some money around.
