On Thursday, December 3 from noon until 7:00pm The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach will transform itself into The Master’s Mystery Art Show. The international annual art event features more than 1,000 artworks by more than 500 artists from 31 countries worldwide.
Developed to benefit Florida International University’s Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts Program, this year’s high-profile event is set to be ground breaking as it coincides with Miami Beach’s wildly popular Art Basel. Proceeds from the event will go to the Master’s program for scholarships, visiting artists, exhibitions, and a multitude of other programs that directly benefit students.
Everyone from artists, celebrities, designers, and FIU Master’s Art Students will create masterpieces on 6×9 canvases, signed on the back by the artist whose name is revealed to the purchaser only after its $50 sale. Previous years saw art contributions by celebrities such as John Legend, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Carlos Santana, Whoopi Goldberg, Rachel Ray, Rosie O’Donnell, and Madonna’s daughter, Lola.
