The Bowery Hotel Differentiates Between Cool and Cruel
No detail was spared this year at New York’s Bowery Hotel as they hosted the Fifth Annual Humane Society’s Cool vs. Cruel benefit.
The event, which also celebrated this year’s winner of the national fur-free fashion-design competition, was jam-packed with fashionistas, socialites, musicians, and animal cruelty activists. The attendees included Ingrid-Bergstrom-Kendrick, Samantha Ronson, Charlotte Ronson, Ann Dexter Jones, Nigel Barker, Richie Rich, Bobby Kennedy, Erin Lucas, and Becka Diamond. Samantha Ronson entertained the crowd from the DJ stand and guests enjoyed specialty Stoli cocktails with whimsical “animal cruelty-free” names.
The Cool vs. Cruel contest challenges students in a network of schools in the graphic and creative arts throughout the United States and Canada to reinterpret some of the latest haute fashion runway looks that do use fur, only their interpretations must remain fur-free.
