Oceanco’s Super Yacht: Y708

Hold on to your haute hats because Dutch yacht builder Oceanco’s newest super yacht, the Y70,3 is expected to be completed in 2012 and it is set to be their most advanced and largest ever, measuring in at 283 feet.

The Y703 is based on three guiding principles: motion, elegance, and privacy, and it is truly like something out of a movie (one of those movies we wish was our lives…) featuring a library, a sushi bar, and even a cigar bar. It has three main decks, four guest cabins, two VIP suites, and a master suite which has its own deck, salon, study, turbo jet whirlpool, and wraparound balconies. The lower deck includes a swimming pool that can be converted into a helipad, in case you were wondering how you’d land your helicopter at sea.

The beautiful $150 million yacht was designed by Russian Igor Lobanov in “a style calculated to appeal to the oligarch set.” The boat features sleek lines and dramatically sculpted surfaces to convey motion. To ensure privacy, the crew passages are hidden and feature a compartmentalized interior layout.

Oceanco, who take responsibility for the super yacht’s construction, is one of the most successful yacht builders in the world. The company has their yacht building facility in the Netherlands, however their design and sales offices are based in Monaco, the same place they displayed their yachts during the 2009 Monaco Yacht Show.
