Miami-Dade’s 2nd Annual Fall Fashion Show Benefitting Special Olympics

South Florida has an inspirational weekend coming up, so mark your calendars! On November 13, Saks Fifth Avenue, Dadeland and Special Olympics Miami-Dade County will be holding the 2nd Annual Fall Fashion Show Event benefitting the Special Olympics athletes of Miami-Dade County.

The exciting event will be held at Miami’s legendary Biltmore Hotel and will showcase The Best of Saks Fifth Avenue. Runway models will include firefighters featured in the South Florida Firefighters 2010 Calendar and Special Olympics Miami- Dade County swimmer and world record holder, Andy Miyares, is Honorary Chairman and will be honored at the event.

Some of South Florida’s most fashion-savvy individuals are set to attend the event which will include a silent auction following the runway show. Mark Thompson, executive director of Special Olympics Miami-Dade, says, “The Fall Fashion Event promises to be a highlight on the South Florida social calendar offering the opportunity to enjoy a top of line runway show while supporting a worthy cause.”

Miami’s own Shannon Hori from CBS4 will attend the event, along with special guests such as five-time Olympic gold medalist Gary Hall Jr. and Miss Florida USA 2010, Megan Clementi.
