Leonardo DiCaprio was Inspiration for Karma Electric Car

News | November 10, 2009

Chiseled superstar Leonardo DiCaprio has probably been cited as the motivation behind a number of women’s decisions: motivation to move to L.A., motivation to audition for a role, motivation to get up in the morning…and so on.

Now, however, a man known as Henrik Fisker is dropping DiCaprio’s name as the inspiration behind the Karma extended-range electric car.

As an extremely successful entrepreneur, Fisker is one of a few individuals who can have a great idea, follow through with it, create a company, and a design a product. But what’s missing? Inspiration. All great ideas come from somewhere or someone. Fisker points to DiCaprio.

“A couple of years ago, it started by people who were maybe a little ahead of their time. You saw some movie stars like Leonardo DiCaprio buying a Prius…He could have bought any car in the world, and I remember seeing that on television and thinking to myself, you know, when you’ve got a guy who could buy a Ferrari or Rolls-Royce and he’s buying a Prius, you know something is changing dramatically.”

So kudos to DiCaprio; keep on inspiring!
