Haute Item: Alexander McQueen Titanic Ballerina Pump

This Alexander McQueen shoe is not only haute, it’s epic-ly innovative. The Titanic Ballerina pump is from McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2010 shoe collection. He combined masculine and feminine ideas with utilitarian hardware and soft pink leather. The platform trend will stay strong through next year, and we’re glad. We believe he used the word “Titanic” because they are indeed gargantuan in heel height and the steel does sort of remind us of Leonardo Dicaprio hanging off the edge with Kate.
