The Surrey Hotel’s Sophisticated Surroundings

Haute Living recently reported about the beautiful new addition to the interior of New York City’s The Surrey Hotel when we told you about the new Bar Pleiades located in the hotel’s lobby. Well, the inside of this luxurious hotel isn’t its only deluxe talking point—in fact, the exterior city surroundings that encircle the hotel are just as magnificent as what is inside.

The Upper East Side location will ensure that you’re never far from Fifth Avenue or Central Park. In fact, taking a left out of the hotel’s doors on 76th  street will lead you right to Fifth Avenue and an entrance to the Park after you pass the exclusive Hewitt School. You’ll know you’re going in the right direction if you pass a long line of nannies waiting at the school for their precious cargo.

If you choose to go right out of the hotel, you’ll find yourself on Madison Avenue where you can shop to the tune of Michael Kors, Christian Louboutin, and many, many more. If you’re hungry, check out the Daniel Boulud café and bar just down the street or even the Three Guys Restaurant for more of a diner-feel but with Upper East Side flavors and the potential new cast of Gossip Girl chowing down on $22 salads.

If you’re thirsty after all that walking, head directly across Madison Avenue and you will encounter the Carlyle Hotel which features the Bemelmens Bar. Of course, we also highly recommend a night cap and The Surrey Hotel’s own Bar Pleiades before returning to your plush room.
