T6 For Sale in New Zealand

News | October 12, 2009

Another megayacht has been listed for sale, this time in New Zealand.  The owner, John Spencer, one of New Zealand’s wealthiest men, was worth an estimated $265 million, which he earned from Caxton paper mills when he commissioned the yacht—but now Spencer is putting his T6 up for sale.

The 49-meter superyacht T6 took almost eight years to build and the interior was only completed about two years ago.  The yacht has five cabins and accommodations for ten crewmembers and is the only non-military vessel in New Zealand that can refuel a helicopter at sea.  The yacht was designed by Peter Beeldsnijder and built by Flyghtship.  The current asking price is 39.5 million euros, or $58.46 million.
