Design by Inspiration

News | October 23, 2009

“Design is the fundamental soul of a man-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer layers of the product,” stated Apple CEO Steve Jobs long ago. It is this idea, eloquently expressed, that interior designer and creator of FusionDesign, Troy Adams, springs from in his recent column in the September/October issue of Haute Living Los Angeles.

Adams is not only earning ink for his innovative blending of Asian, European, and American design aesthetics, he is also building a rep as a celebrity designer, appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and numerous programs on HGTV. In fact, as the award-winning designer reveals in his Haute Living Ambassador column, it was his work on HGTV’s challenge shows that caught the eye of Tara Sandler and Jennifer Davidson, owners of Pie Town Productions, which develops and produces non-scripted programming for the cable channel, including House Hunters, Myles of Style, Designed to Sell, Kitchen Trends, and Designers’ Challenge.

When Sandler and Davidson recognized his creative brilliance while in the editing room, they recruited him to renovate their own kitchen in their Pasadena home.

Take a peek at photos inside the kitchen and learn what elements Adams incorporated into the space for the homeowners.
