Be a Kid Again Gala

On Saturday, September 27, haute Miamians can go back in time. This time warp is courtesy of the Miami Children’s Museum, which will be hosting its fifth annual “Be a Kid Again” gala, a staple in Miami’s social scene that brings together the town’s elite for a philanthropic evening benefitting the next generation. This year’s theme is the Fantastic Fifties, which will be celebrated with a night of Good Times & Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The evening will give guests the run of the museum on the MacAurthur Causeway, which will be decked out in all-things ’50s. The museum was founded in 1983 and is dedicated to enriching the lives of Miami children. The 56,500-square-foot facility includes 14 galleries, classrooms, a 200-seat auditorium, and much much more. During the gala, for the kid in you, karaoke booths, television stations, and fishing wells abound, while the young-at-heart can also enjoy an extensive silent auction and extensive entertainment. Patrons will have the opportunity to embrace their inner child and get wild with the help of Bacardi libations. Cocktail attire is required and costumes are encouraged. We can tell you that at past, many attendees have gone all-out with their couture nods to the theme, so poodle skirts and peddle pushers are highly recommended.

Event tickets are $250 per person or $2,000 for a playgroup of 10. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, and many friends of Haute Living have already gotten in on the good cause, Alan & Diane Lieberman included. RSVP to jprado@miamichildrensmuseum.org or to 305.373.KIDS.
