Ouzo’s Mystery Mondays

Ouzo’s Mysterious Mondays couldn’t have come any sooner for Miami Beach denizens. The highly-regarded Mediterranean bistro near the Venetian Islands in South Beach inducted its first Monday night dining extravaganza on June 23, 2008, where guests were delighted by a unique, five-course ‘Mystery Menu,’ replete with all the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean. French, Spanish, Greek, Italian, and Turkish-inspired cuisine abound in this little Mediterranean enclave, and Monday nights are the perfect time to join in the festivities.

Ouzo’s Mystery Mondays are certainly spicing up one of Miami Beach’s favorite family-run bistro’s. The delectable cuisine at Ouzo can be attributed to Figi and Liza Meoli, its husband and wife proprietors, whose French and Greek ethnic backgrounds fall nothing short of palpable. Ouzo’s menu, created by the two in conjunction with the restaurant’s Executive Chef Pablo Cittadini, includes a vast array of fresh fish and seafood (flown in daily from the Mediterranean), Mediterranean salads and spreads, and traditional favorites like Lamb or Chicken Skewers, Dolmades and, of course, Tzatziki. Ouzo’s dishes offer the authentic tastes of the Greek Islands in Mediterranean Mezes (small plates), and Chef Cittadini keeps guests on their toes by changing the menu weekly.

Mystery Mondays will continue throughout the summer, and will feature belly dancing, tarot card and palm reading, and a complimentary shot of Ouzo- just to keep you in that jubilant spirit. So charm yourself with the Mediterranean, right in Miami.
