Con Amore, Parsons!

The Parsons Dance Company gala: Con Amore, Parsons! was held at The Times Center in honor of Barbara Rohdie with Honorary Gala Chair Bebe Neuwirth. The event commenced with cocktails and a silent auction featuring elaborate lots including a private wine tasting at Martha Clara Vineyards, a collection of gifts from Donna Karan and Henri Bendel, and even a chance to “perform” live on stage with Parsons Dance. A performance by the company followed and the evening ended with dining, speeches, and dancing.
The Parsons Dance Company formed in 1985 and has built a repertoire of over 70 works choreographed by David Parsons, 20 of which feature originally commissioned scores by such composers and musicians as Dave Matthews, Michael Gordon, and Milton Nascimento. The company’s mission is to “create and perform contemporary American dance of extraordinary artistry that is entertaining and enriching to diverse audiences.”
