Enchanted Winter Gala

Last night, The Museum of Natural History hosted its annual Winter Gala. The Hall of Biodiversity set the tone for an Enchanted Forest theme, which was the first stop on the five-hour soiree’s list. Its life-size replica of the Dzanga-Sangha Rainforest welcomed the gala’s young chairs as well as Roberto Cavalli, Anne Hathaway, and the hosting committee, heavy with the who’s who of the fashion brigade.
Dancing and dessert, as well as the silent auction, brought Margherita Missoni, Rachel Roy, and Roopal Patel into the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life; joining them were Mary-Kate Olsen, Terry Richardson, and the gorgeous Jessica Stam. The usual party circuit suspects were also present, as well as an odd few, whose sartorial choices stood out, juxtaposed with an otherwise polished crowd. DJ Kid America and the White Rabbits provided the tunes for all free spirits on the dance floor. The atmosphere varied from super-chic to super-eek, a telltale sign of the interesting mix match of the attendees.
