Pass the Bombay

Usually returning empties will get you five or 10 cents a piece. But you may want to hold onto this bottle. Bombay Sapphire, in conjunction with Garrard, Baccarat and Karim Rashid, has created Revelation, the first of a five piece collection of handmade crystal bottles adorned with sapphires and diamonds. The limited edition Revelation bottle was launched at Garrard in Mayfair, London and represents the 10 botanical ingredients that make up the complex and refined taste of Bombay Sapphire. The five-piece set will be launched at five major international airports starting with London Heathrow Airport on March 27, 2008, followed by New York, Dubai, Singapore and Sydney. The handcrafted bottles bare a price tag of $200,000 a piece. Profits from Revelation will benefit the travel retail industry’s chosen charity, The Smile Train, which provides life-enhancing cleft surgery to children in poor countries.
