NASCAR … with luxury!

We have to admit, the artist’s rendering of this one appears just a tad similar to The Metropolitan Plaza, the luxury condo going up in the Fall of 2010 in Knoxville, Tennessee, but maybe what works in Knoxville works in Concord, North Carolina.

After all, it is NASCAR country.

The Arcadian, a luxury residential tower near Charlotte (and especially close to Lowe’s Motor Speedway) will feature one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, as well as some fantastic penthouses. With approximately 30 sales since November, The Arcadian is one hot ticket, as it provides a putting green, conference rooms, a theater, a fitness center, a terrace pool, and concierge services, as well as shops and a signature restaurant. The Arcadian is slated to be opened in 2012, though with plans delayed for One Charlotte (a 40-story luxury building with 151 units priced up to $3 million), the market may be cooling fast.

However, The Arcadian has the built-in advantage of being located within a stone’s throw of the planned dragway addition to Lowe’s, which means the NASCAR’s deep-pocketed elite could be among those most interested in purchasing a luxury condo in the area. (And, it certainly doesn’t hurt that The Arcadian will feature 13 corporate suites on the 11th floor – the perfect place for bumper-to-bumper business.)

Sounds like this project is going pedal to the metal.
