Former NFL running back Curtis Martin backs out of house deal

Retired NFL running back Curtis Martin has reportedly backed out of a deal to purchase the most expensive apartment in Brooklyn, New York.

Martin, a former New York Jets star who ranks among the top five in career rushing yards, was apparently set to purchase a triplex penthouse apartment at One Brooklyn Bridge Park (1 BBP) for a staggering $7.25 million, but, according to a Jets spokesperson, Martin backed out of the deal, with no reason given.

The 4,638-square-foot home features seven spacious bedrooms, four luxurious bathrooms, a swank rooftop terrace, private elevator that leads to the terrace, and wraparound views of Manhattan and all its glory.

While the current record for condo price paid in Brooklyn still stands at $3.8 million for a penthouse at the Aurora in Williamsburg, we’re guessing it’s only a matter of time before this gem at 1BBP is snatched up by the hands of some well-to-do millionaire.
