Over the past year, with the active support of the Terra Group, the Freedom Tower has become a cultural hub for the downtown community. The iconic building is currently playing host to the Forty-Part Motet installation by artists Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller, which is on display in the ballroom. The Freedom Tower will also be home to “Miami Contemporary Artists: Creating a Scene,” a celebration of Miami’s local art talent, on display starting November 28. During Art Basel, the “Evolution of a Community” discussion panel will take over, discussing the role of artist-run alternative spaces in the developing art scene.

Even if we support a little nipping and tucking, Miami’s tropical lifestyle requires daily maintenance from the gym. The majority of the city’s head-turners flock to one place: The Sports Club/LA at the Four Seasons. The club’s 50,000 square feet boast more than 30 different fitness and recreational options to keep Miami’s hot bodies beach-ready, including a 10,000-square-foot training area with views of the city and the bay, three group exercise studios, a 100-piece cardiovascular center equipped with individual TVs, a flexibility center, Pilates studio, and extensive Yoga/BodyMind program.
